In Brazil, there is a solemn and magnificent temple called Zu Lai Temple where
children who studied in that monastery were abandoned or neglected children lacking in education and unrefined in values living in the slums. Amongst them were children who resorted to pilfering and thieving, falling victims to drug dealers to become mules.
However today, under the influence of Buddhism, these same children join their palms and chant Amitabha when they meet each other. The children are like the Brazilian sun, so naturally warm, full of untainted innocence and enthusiasm.
They, are the sons of Tathagata!
