The treatise comprises of 30 verses that mainly discuss "consciousness,"
and is the last work of Vasubandhu Bodhisattva, written late in his life.
A representation of his sophisticated Buddhist thoughts,
it laid the foundation of the studies of Mere Consciousness
and was annotated by ten treatise masters.
It has since become the ultimate basis for the exegesis of Mere Consciousness.
